Mark was born and raised in Vancouver and is a proud member of the financial planning community. He acquired two Bachelor degrees from the University of British Columbia and started his working career as a middle school teacher and Vice Principal in Vancouver, B.C.
Mark took his love of the teaching and learning to the world of financial planning in 1997 where he quickly became a key member of Standard Life Assurance, working in the insurance and pension divisions. In the pension division, Mark focused on the financial and corporate planning needs of the business owner.
Most recently, Mark was the business and development manager for AIG Life of Canada and also worked as a consultant for financial planners from B.C. to Manitoba. During this time he acquired his Certified Financial Planner designation and specialized in corporate insurance planning with accountants, executive compensation, group benefits and other business owner concerns. He also spoke at various national industry functions, including two radio programs in Regina and Vancouver on corporate tax sheltering and critical illness insurance.
Mark is married to Lori and is the proud father of three children: Matthew, Rebecca and Annalies. When he is not serving clients or being a family man, Mark takes part in a number of associations in the Coquitlam/Burnaby communities, plays hockey, cooks, or catches up on reading.
